In post-Parkland era, back to school means homework new friends — and armed guards
Campuses across Florida are taking extra security measures after recent Florida legislation enforces new school safety mandates in response to the Parkland, Florida shooting. Miami-Dade County School District scrambles to get it all in place by August 20 when students arrive. Most middle and high schools in South Florida already have a school resource officer, but is a huge change for elementary schools.
