About Us
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year!
Based on current health information, the widespread availability of the COVID-19 vaccine and guidance from Miami Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) and Governor Desantis that prevents our schools from offering a remote option, we are offering full-time, in-person instruction next school year with a regular, full-length school day. This means that for all students in all grades, and for all teachers and school staff, to be in-person, five days per week as of the start of school in August.
We will protect the health and safety of students, staff, and families.
We will provide a safe environment for our students to learn and thrive.
We will make sure our students’ and families’ needs are met.
We will create a supportive environment for staff to excel in their work and feel safe.

COVID-19 vaccines are now widely available across the state of Florida at healthcare providers and national pharmacies like Walgreens and CVS.

Jackson Health System recently hosted an online Town Hall where medical professionals fielded questions on the vaccine’s development, safety, distribution, and much more. Head here to watch the panel.

Nutrition
Summer BreakSpot offers balanced breakfasts, lunches, snacks or dinner at no cost for children 18 and under. Meals are served at no cost at places like parks, libraries and churches.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal is to provide you and your family with as much information and resources as possible to support the health and safety of our team and family. Below, you’ll find the answers to a number of questions you may have related to the 2021-22 school year and our reopening. We will be updating these FAQs throughout the year.
What safety measures will be in place this fall?
Classrooms and buses will operate at full capacity as per new CDC guidelines. In classrooms, we will maintain a 3-foot distance between desks whenever possible.
Will eligible students be required to receive the vaccine prior to the start of the school year?
At this time vaccinations will not be required for eligible students; however, this policy is subject to change if there is new guidance from health or government officials. We encourage eligible students who are still considering getting the vaccine to do so prior to the start of the school year.
Will my school continue to provide meals to students?
Yes, we are committed to providing students with meals. Please head to our Miami nutrition pages to learn more about locations for food distribution and what we offer.
Will extracurricular activities continue?
We will resume extracurriculars, and events, when possible and in accordance with guidance from the CDC, Florida DOH, and other authorities.
